Port City Ruritan finds a variety of local causes, projects, and organizations for the purpose
of raising funds and volunteering time. Following is a sample of activities that the club has been involved with or organized. If you have a suggestion for a local cause or volunteer

300 Member Hours | Dollars Donated: $2200
This was Port City Ruritan's first fundraising adventure, with proceeds going to NHRMC Foundation in support of the Zimmer Cancer Center (in memory of Jennifer Shoe and her brave battle with melannoma cancer) and the (Open Gate) Domestic Violence Shelter.

Port City Ruritan holds an Oyster Roast annually in hopes of spreading
our message of Fellowship, Goodwill and Community Service.

Members and friends donate items to our annual yard sale. The proceeds
are used by the club to invest in upcoming fundraisers and events.

When the holidays are upon us there is no better to time to help those in need.
In 2009, Port City Ruritan assembled food baskets for Thanksgiving and
Christmas and delivered them to a dozen local families in need.
