Membership Info

Membership in Port City Ruritan is “by invitation only”; that means that anyone who wishes to join our club must be invited by a current Ruritan member. If you are interested and would like more information on how to join, contact us.

Ruritan has three membership categories:

Active Member

$11 per Quarter ($42 a year)*
Active members play a critical role in the success of our club. All active members must be proactive, attend monthly meetings and have a commitment to participate in Ruritan's charitable activities.

Associate Member

$11 per Quarter ($42 a year)*
Established to provide an opportunity for individuals and businesses that are not available to attend club meetings as a regular member, but who want to be affiliated with Ruritan
and show their support of the community-improving work Ruritans do.

Lifetime Membership

($600 Edowment)
“Ruritan Forever” is a plan for the payment of dues by members who wish to make a long term investment in Ruritan. The “Ruritan Forever” plan allows a member in good standing to pay $600 and become a life-time participant of the National Organization. Ruritan National will invest these prepayments in a special managed fund, transferring the dues quarterly to the business office of Ruritan National. Even after the life participant dies, dues will be transferred quarterly to Ruritan National, thus offering a perpetual memorial to the organization on behalf of the deceased Ruritan.

The membership of a Ruritan Club represents a cross section of the citizens
of the community. Ruritan membership is open to all, regardless of race,
gender, religion or political affiliation.
